Which events lend themselves to live painting? Weddings, receptions, concerts, outdoor gatherings, art openings, family reunions, anniversaries, birthdays, graduations, Bar/Bat Mitzvahs, fundraisers—any celebratory gathering can be captured for posterity.

How much experience have you had painting live? I have been commemorating special events for over a decade, painting in wonderful locations all over New England, Cape Cod, and Martha’s Vineyard. I’ve enjoyed venues in a number of cities including Boston MA, Worcester MA, New York City, Baltimore MD, and Fort Lauderdale FL.

What medium do you use? I paint with acrylics on a stretched canvas of premium quality cotton. I frequently paint on a 24 x 36 inch canvas, and it seems to be a popular size. Other sizes can be accommodated as well.

How long does it take to finish a painting? The timeline for the event itself dictates how long I will be working on the “live” part of the project. Back in the studio I finish making color adjustments and adding important details. Because I work on quite a few paintings during a typical year, I estimate delivery in 2-6 months.

What are your prices? The price range for a live event painting on canvas is $1,800-5,000. The price depends on a number of factors—the nature of the event, complexity of the venue, guest count, canvas size, and any special requests. Please go to the Contact page for more information

What are the ways I can share the painting after my event? I offer fine art reproductions of any size on archival paper or canvas—a great way of sharing your keepsake with family and friends. I can also print custom note cards and thank you cards featuring the painting.
